FAQ
1) Is there a need especially before Master 1 Master 2 MNRV or IVI?
Preferably should be a Master 1 or scientific engineering school (4th year validated) and have few skills, but anything is possible if you really want to take one of these Masters. We have already welcomed architects, doctors, students of psychology ... The software we use are accessible even to non-scientists and virtual reality is trans-disciplinary.
2) Why move towards a Master ENSAM?
* To obtain a degree from a Grande Ecole (ENSAM = Arts & Métiers ParisTech)
* To enter more easily in an R & D company
* To be able to register one day doctoral thesis (even long after, some begin their thesis after 50 years)
* To understand the modus operandi of the research and how researchers are working because you will probably have to work one day with them

3) The field of virtual reality and associated businesses are still in development?
Although the term "virtual reality" is very rarely on the job (playful connotation that discourage employers?), Markets for these technologies are growing permanently in the business and leisure. The "3D" or "3D real time" (other names for the virtual reality) is omnipresent in our world (see Vista / next MacOS / Video games / 2nd Life ...), and the links between real and virtual worlds is stronger. Therefore, the working world needs specialists in these technologies will not be "that" computer scientists but visionary applications of tomorrow.
4) How do the supporting projects and internships?

5) Is there a compensation between U.E?

6) Catch-up sessions are they in place, if so, what form?

It is possible to carry out the second half of the 2nd year abroad (project stage M2), we have many international contacts for students who want to try the experiment (very rewarding).

All enterprises in the center of Laval virtual reality are invited to attend for an hour to students. This is part of the schedule of the Masters. The Master also speakers from SAP, SNCF and other companies using virtual reality.
9) The projects identified in the first half are chosen by the students?

Yes, we get about 3 offers internship per student.
11) These are adapted to the profile of students from 2 masters?

12) What is the difference between a Master and a Master?
The number of course hours ... (200 MR, 500 in MP) The MR is only composed of lectures, the MP includes GST of TDs and courses on software (3DS Max, Open GL, Virtools). The courses of the MP are available to students in MR availability. The MR can be followed in conjunction with a 5th year of engineering school (2 days per week), the MP takes 5 days per week.
13) What are the strengths of 2 Masters?
They are unique in their field because they treat both the virtual reality technology and process innovation. 16) How many PhD students continue after 2 years of Master?
Relatively few, 10 to 20% maximum current. There is no obligation to pursue in view, you can decide much later.
17) What is the failure rate in Master 2?
Very weak or nonexistent.
